Hey, Fish,
Are you keeping warm by getting the 'CAVE' orgynised?![]()
Opinion is only as valid as its verifiable supporting evidence.
Unfortunately, no. That'll take a time when I can set some stuff outside. As it is, if you pick up an item to sort/move, there's no place to set it down except where your feet are. I can measure the depth of the stuff outside in inches. Inside, it's in feet and yards...(no room for a fat girl even if one came over).
That, and I'm still working. Brought my work laptop home Tuesday just in case. Good thing, I'll have a full paycheck whenever I can get there to pick it up.
Sixteen below zero here right now. Another permanent record broken (for the area and for me) and another poor forecast shot to heck. Keeping my woodstove just short of meltdown, and the furnace still ran almost all night.
Still have fire, food, and full function though, so I'm thankful. Weatherman says 60 here by Sunday, but I no longer believe him...

The power is still on, and your chin is still up! :2thumbsup:Sixteen below zero here right now. Another permanent record broken
I guess the "nice" weather is up here, we only bottomed out at -9 this morning.
No matter where you live -16 is damn cold and 16-30 inches is a lot of snow! I cannot imagine living where this kind of weather happens without anticipation or the necessary means to deal with it.
Kudos to you and your local country folk Brad, it's good old fashioned horse sense that gets you through stuff like this relatively unscathed.
It's all gonna melt(hopefully not too quickly) and the fish will be bitin again before ya know it.
Hang in there buddy!
Not all vegetables make good leaders.
Thanks bro!
Yeah, the country folks are survivin', it's all those Walmart exec/city slickers that left the highways and streets littered with their SUVs, and are waking to frozen pipes.
Reminds me of the time I told a good customer (an AG Edwards guy) that it appeared the rich folks wore slip-on shoes because they didn't have the sense for lace-ups. With a red-faced, sheepish grin, he tried to look at his feet and said, "no, we're just too fat to reach the laces".
Added;
The melt should be no problem except when it re-freezes. The weatherman said there's less than an inch of water in this batch. Course he's the same guy that forecast 2-6 and 5 below, so I'm not that convinced.
As for fishin' my vacation is still set for the end of the month when the walleye run. Expect I'll be spending a few all-nighters outside then... weather permitting.
Boop, I've got mail. Better get to work.

Hasn't been above 32 since New years here. : /
We had .25" once this year. And a little bit of ice.
Boring. I love a good snow storm, but it's rare here. I guess that's why I love it.
Cripples Portland, and it's fun to watch the news while all the wives abandon their cars and call hubby.
Funny thing is, Oregon allows studded snow tires which ruin the roads big time so the wives can drive safe. Shit, studded snow tires are dangerous when it's not snowing......
